At WPOrbit, our clients’/customers’ data privacy is super important for us.
We offer our services through our website “wporbit.net” – Our monthly plans, one-off changes, website migration, malware cleanup, and all other services are herein referred to as “Services”.
While there’s not much difference between client and customer, for simplicity – users subscribed to our monthly support & maintenance plans will be referred to as “customers” and users who use our one time services will be referred to as “clients”.
Information/Data that we collect
Visitors on WPOrbit.net
Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to track website traffic. When you visit WPOrbit.net, non-PII (non-personally identifiable information) data such as your IP address, device and browser information, etc. may be passed and stored on Google Analytics.

Cookies: Our website may store non-PII data in form of cookies which helps us assess Analytics, Performance and improve user experience on our site. For example, greeting a new vs returning visitor differently. Learn more about Cookies.
Newsletter: WPOrbit Blog offers visitors a way to subscribe to future blog posts by providing the following information:
- Name (Optional)
- Website (Optional)
The data above is securely stored on Mailchimp. We do not sell your data to third party advertisers. It is only used to send you updates about new blog posts. You can unsubscribe from our newsletters anytime you wish to, by pressing the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our emails. You can find Mailchimp’s privacy policy here.
Contact forms: We have contact forms placed throughout our website where we allow users to ask pre-sales questions or submit support requests. The forms collect PII data such as name and email address which are securely sent to our email address support@wporbit.net. This data is also stored in our internal database which is secure and only accessible to our team members.
We use this data to connect back with you or forward your support request to appropriate department.
Our Customers & Clients
Data collected: When you sign up with us for monthly plan or use our one time services, we collect and save the following information in our internal database:
- Name
- Website URL
Further, you’ll be presented with Stripe landing page where you’ll pay for the plan/service. For the payment, following information is stored on Stripe:
- Credit card details
- Name and billing address
Your data stored on Stripe is completely secure and encrypted. Stripe does not allow us to see your credit card details. We are only able to charge you monthly.

After the payment – we’ll send you an email asking to create an admin user for us on your WordPress site. The username and password for our account on your site is stored on our 1Password account which is one of the best password manager in the industry.
We may also collect your hosting/domain login and store it on our 1Password account. This is used in emergency situations, for example when the site crashes or is infected by malware.

We never sell/expose any of the data above to third-party.
WPOrbit User Portal (Coming soon)
We are working on creating a user portal from where you’ll be able to raise tickets, manage your services, profile data and more.
To login to this portal and use it, we may store session related information in form of cookies. This allow you to stay logged in for longer period of time without the need to sign in again.
External Tools
Dropbox: We use Dropbox to store backups of your WordPress site weekly. Dropbox’s privacy policy can be found here.
Linode/Digital Ocean: We use cloud hosting from providers such as Linode and Digital Ocean. If you opt for hosting along with maintenance, your site would be stored on one of the cloud hosts. (Linode’s Privacy Policy | Digital Ocean Privacy Policy)
